Downloaded files are usually compressed or split in parts. After you download all parts, you will need to extract or join the parts on your computer. Here are the recommended (free) programs that are most commonly used:
HJSplit - For joining parts ending with .001, .002, etc (unless specified, as Winrar is also used sometimes, but it's very rare. So, always try to join with HJSplit first).
Winrar - The best compression and decompression program. It supports all popular file compression formats, like .rar and .zip
K-Lite Codec Pack - To play downloaded videos, you must have the required codecs installed on your computer. It is strongly advised to install the latest K-Lite Codec Pack for the best experience. Uninstall any other codec packs first.
